Golfing in Alpine

Our family has found a new hobby. GOLF! We all love it. We love it so much that Nic bought myself, himself and Brooklee all brand new sets of clubs. This summer we took Brooklee and a good friend of ours Cass up to Alpine to play a few holes. It was so nice and cool. So lush and green.

Superstar Brooklee

Brooklee is HILARIOUS. When you ask her to smile for the camera you get more than what you bargained for!

Our Two Beautiful Daughters

I cant help but think how eternally blessed Nic and I are to have such beautiful and energetic girls. These two sweethearts make our days so adventurous to say the least. They have grown up too fast. Brooklee has started Preschool and Brinley well, she is INTO EVERYTHING. I often get frazzled by the end of the day because of the chaos, but when I sit down and look at this picture I just feel overwhelmingly blessed. How could I not?

2010 Pioneer Days Parade

24th of July is a HUGE celebration in St. Johns. We don't participate in much of the events but the one thing we do go to is the parade. Grandma Finch brought over Brodey, Nellie and Jax to celebrate this event with us. It was so much fun. We got the hook up for a sweet spot on the side of the road thanks to Annie Anderson. The kids enjoyed the candy they were getting. The highlight of the parade was when the firetruck came and parked in front of us and turned on their house. Every single kid within a 3 block radius was under the hose. Well... except for Brooklee. She ran away from that chaos. Too funny.

Happy 1st Birthday Brinley

She would not keep her hands out of the ice chest. She could not resist eating ice cubes. Personally, I was a little groused out. But how can you tell that face "no" especially on her birthday?

She really didnt dig into the cake like I thought she would. I was quite surprised.

I couldn't resist getting this cake for her to demolish.

Where did the first year of Brinleys life go? I cant believe our baby has turned ONE. She had an awesome birthday. The day started out going to breakfast. Then it was naptime. The afternoon followed with family and friends gathering at the church ramada for a bbq, cake and ice cream. Our family is so blessed to have this special little bundle of joy in our home. Nic and I have decided she is just her own little person. I say she marches to the beat of her own tune. She is very unique. She has one eye that is a different color than the other. They say its a freckle on the color of her eye, I think its pure mischief. Brinley loves to play with her sister. Most of the time "playing" involves Brooklee crying because Brinley has taken toys away from her! She loves her babies. She is often found packing them through the house patting their back. Such a nurturer. She acts like her kitties are her babies too. Poor cats. She loves being in the outdoors. If the doors are open for a split second she is off to the races. We cant wait to see what this next year will bring. I am sure with this child there will never be a dull moment. Happy FIRST Birthday little girl. Mommy, Daddy and Sissy love you very very much.

Independence Day 2010

(This truck is very similar to the one my dad drove when I was a baby)

This year to celebrate the 4th of July we spent it in Eagar. This year was a little different though. My parents came over from Lakeside, Nic and Brooklee got on a float to celebrate his 10 year class reunion and this was Brinleys first 4th of July. The parade was once again amazing. My best friend Jami and her husband entered in a float to promote his new business so it was cool to see them for 2.4 seconds. We are so blessed to in a country that is home of the free because of the brave.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

This was the first year Brooklee played t-ball. She had a blast in the beginning but quickly lost interest. A little tough to swallow especially since I am a huge softball/baseball fan. Maybe she will take after her daddy and enjoy running up and down a field kicking a black and white ball. Who knows!!

The joys of having girls

I loved having the chance to buy the girls their Easter dresses. I have been trying to find matching outfits and have been unsuccessful UNTIL I walked into the most wonderful store ever....Children's Place. Their they were!!! I picked out the sizes I needed which by the way Brinley is wearing 24 months!!! She is 8 months old! Something wrong with this??? I didn't think twice about the price just knew I wanted them to match. They both looked so adorable in their dresses. Brooklee is full of sass!!!! Can you tell by her pose? I am super excited about this Easter. Except for the fact Nic has to work. I am grateful for this time of year to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. I have the opportunity to teach my primary class today about the significance of Easter. I have a lot to be thankful for. I am truly blessed and I know without Jesus Christ I would have NOTHING.

Our little Sunshine

What can we say about this little girl we have. She can be such a good baby one minute and a COMPLETE HOLY TERROR the next. She has been pulling herself up to just about anything that is stationary. She loves mac and cheese, tearing up her sisters tower (made of mega blocks), the dolphin swing, her binki, her daddy and well...just about everything else.

What a sight!

We had heard that Show Low lake was running over the spillway. Well, I couldn't think of a time I had ever seen this. So, we ventured on back there and this is what we found. The water was not only running over the spillway but it was GUSHING. It was a spectacular sight to see all this moisture. Heavenly Father definetly blessed the mountain with rain and snow this winter. How grateful I was to see such a sight as this.

The Latest

The bruising was all the way to my ankle. Can't wait to see what it looks like when my cast comes off. I bet its pretty hairy!!! YUCK! Taking my razor with me for that appt.

I wore this brace for the first week after surgery. Then I got my lovely cast put on which I will post pics later of.

February 11th I went under the knife to have knee surgery. I had prepared myself for this (so I thought) but nothing would ever prepare me for what I have gone through the past few weeks. I have had problems with my left knee cap now for a couple of years. Finally, I got it fixed. I now am the rightful owner of 2 screws in the bone located right below my knee. I am also the owner of a shiny purple walking cast for 6 weeks. (However, I am almost close to the half way mark) Its been a trial for sure. But thankfully, I once again have an amazing husband who has picked up the pieces for our family. I have had casts before. Numerous casts actually. But none of them have ever been this difficult to deal with. I think having to chase 2 girls is the difference! I am now on the uphill to recovery. Start physical therapy within the next couple of weeks and will continue with therapy probably until the middle of the summer. I have a big thank you to everyone. Your calls, your texts, your drinks, your friendship and my mom and dad letting me and girls crash at their house for a few days have truly meant alot to me. I couldn't have gotten this far with out you all. Hope you enjoy these lovely pics!!!

Elder Ammon Branson Finch

Nic's little brother has left for his mission. Sorry I am late getting this updated but I wanted everyone to know how proud Nic and I are to have two little brothers serving missions. Elder Finch is serving in the Guayquil Ecuador Mission speaking spanish. He reported to the MTC on January 27th and is set to leave there on March 29th. He is doing fabulous. Loving the missionary life and we know he is going to make an incredible missionary.

This was Mom, Dad and Elder Finch backing out of our driveway the day they headed to Utah.

Give Me That

Brooklee decided to play a little game with her sister. She would take Brins binki out of her mouth and stick it in hers. Turns out Brinley can hold her own because she would LEAP forward and grab it out of her sisters mouth and place it right back where it belonged. Brinley loves her binki. (I know bad habit to break and we will cross that road when we get to it!)

SIX Months Old!!!!

I can't believe how fast little Miss Sunshine is growing. She is just the best baby. So content. So happy. I think its because she is so chunky! We truly are blessed to have her in our home and she brings much happiness to Nic and I and especially to her big sister.

Here comes (& went) Santa

As you can see Santa definetly found our house. It was such a fun Christmas. And I think it will get more and more exciting as the girls get older. Brooklee as you can see got a new ride. She loves her quad. She is such a dare devil (and she didn't get that from her dad!!) Brinley had fun too. Watching her sister play with all of her new toys. My mom and dad came over to see what the girls got. It was fun to have them. Next year Elder Keith will be home. Which by the way, we spoke to him on Christmas Day. He is doing so good. Enjoying the mission life and serving the people in New Hampshire. He has only 11 more months to go. We also enjoyed hanging out in Eagar with mom and dad finch as well as Ammon before he leaves on his mission to Ecuador. We hope you all had a great Christmas. May we continue to have the spirit of giving all year long.
