After 27 years of not being able to breath very well and snoring like a freight train Nic went under the knife. This was his first surgery in his whole life. On March 31st we checked him into the hospital here in Show Low to have his tonsils removed, nasal passages hollowed out and his soft palate trimmed. He started to recuperate very nicely until he woke up one morning (4:30 am) about 4 days later with blood clots coming out of his mouth. We called the Dr. and he recommended to gargle with cold cold water for about 15 minutes and if it didn't stop to head on it to Show Low. Needless to say, we were in the car making the 45 minute drive about 20 minutes after we spoke to him. The staff at the hospital were all waiting for his arrival. I think he was more nervous this time than the first time. The nurse that gave him the IV for the second surgery was AWFUL. The anesthesiologist had to fix the nurses crucial error and do another IV. He was so not happy about that. The second surgery was a success and he was finally on the road to a complete recovery. He was not a very happy camper. Although, he was quite entertaining coming out of it. He kept thanking his nurse for EVERYTHING! What a riot. We were all really worried for this surgery. But he came through with flying colors. He is a brand new man. He sleeps through the night without me telling him to roll over or to stop snoring. However, now after his surgery he doesn't hear ANYTHING! I could be throwing up in the bathroom screaming out his name.....HE DOESN"T MOVE. I am so glad he feels more rejuvenated than ever before. Thanks to all you for keeping our family in your prayers while he recovered.
